Last week’s annual conference was a sweet time of fellowship, but also an encouraging time of challenge as we considered what’s “NEXT: God’s Calling, Our Mission”.
- We were provoked by Will Galkin to consider what a fellowship of 130 churches with camp & college connections could and should be doing to reach the 12 million people of Ohio.
- We were compelled by HB Charles Jr from Luke 15 to remember that lost people matter to God and to join the party in heaven over each sinner who repents.
- We were reminded of God’s desire to stretch and change us not just in what we do, but in who we are becoming as we seek to be more like Christ.
For those who weren’t at the conference, you were missed! We will have the preaching and workshop sessions available to view online in the near future. One of the things we must be doing together is praying!
I would like to ask each of our churches to make praying for our OARBC a priority from November 9 through December 4!
We would like to emphasize prayer both in our gathering as well as our scattering. On Sunday mornings from 11/15 through 12/6, please take some time in the service to pray for our Association of churches. We also wanted to provide a way for all those in our church families to be praying as individuals, so we created a SignUp to give everyone easy access to a dedicated time slot. This allows each person to commit to 15 minutes of individual prayer, while recognizing that none of us are alone. All the brothers and sisters of 130 churches across Ohio can be bringing our cares and requests to the Father together!

We are excited about what God is doing in Ohio through the OARBC! He has entrusted to us the resources and blessing of about 130 churches, and we desire to be good stewards. Our desire is to strengthen our fellowship, develop church leaders, revitalize struggling works, and plant new churches. However, all of this requires humble hearts, focused vision, and increased financial support. Only God can do things of this size and significance! Let’s storm the throne room of our Father together, acknowledging our need of His power and guidance, asking for His wisdom, and recommitting ourselves to His mission to reach the lost in Ohio. Thank you for being willing to join the movement towards prayer together!
